About the webinar
We often forget that asset management is more than just about portfolio managers, investment teams, CIOs and performance. Behind every successful asset manager is a successful business, guided by a clear vision, a well thought-through strategy, and an experienced CEO or MD, who along with their management teams are responsible for execution, delivery, and business objectives.
The business of asset management is looking beyond the investment philosophy and process of the asset manager but rather taking a deeper look at the challenges and opportunities of running a successful asset management business.
We discuss this topic with the leaders of three of South Africa’s most successful asset managers: Cheree Dyer, CEO of Prescient Asset Management, Derrick Msibi, CEO of STANLIB Asset Management, and Bradley Anthony, MD of Fairtree Asset Management, to find out how they’ve successfully navigated their respective businesses despite turbulent market conditions and difficult operating environments.
We unpack the major challenges and opportunities that lay on the horizon and how these businesses plan to deal with them. We also delve into the impact and importance of asset managers on the investment value proposition of financial advisers, the important role that financial advisers have played in the growth of the retail asset management industry, as well as key-takeaways from our asset managers on how to future-proof your business.
