From Sales to Advice to Planning

webinar

The route to a successful ‘Lean, Mean, Planning Machine’

What do you need to do in order to take your advisory practice to the next level?

In April 2022, host Georgina Smith welcomed UK financial services specialist, Phil Billingham, to explore in detail the difference between financial planning and financial advice.

The two looked at the route you need to follow to get to where you want to be, unpacking the relative models and their metrics.

Watch today for a robust industry discussion, ideal for any adviser wondering what’s next and how to get there.

About the webinar

What does this journey mean and what do the models look like? During this webinar, metrics such as profit / number of clients / fee structures / the source of yields etc) for each model will be explored as well as:

  • Sales – what were we rewarded for?
  • Advice – professional and ethical sales?
  • Financial planning: The people business, not the money business
  • A discipline and a structure, not a badge or status
  • 90% of the 200 000 CFPs around the world do not earn most of their income from financial planning – why not?
  • The business of financial planning – financial planning is a team sport
  • The role – or not – of technology

By the end of this webinar, attendees will be able to:

  1. Define each business model
  2. Understand the different duties of care involved in each business model
  3. Explain the role of technology in the design and delivery of a financial planning business model
