Man vs Machine

webinar

Is the future of investments “Man vs Machine” or “Man and Machine”?

With the increasing adoption of AI technologies, investment managers were constantly searching for new ways to leverage AI to enhance their decision-making processes and drive higher returns. Would AI eliminate the need for human asset managers or was the future an augmented one where AI empowered man to make better investment decisions?

Joined by international AI specialists and portfolio managers, Dorian Carrell of Schroders Investment Management, Gautam Samarth of M&G Investments, along with STANLIB Asset Manager’s Marius Oberholzer, host Leigh Kohler explored the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on investment management in May.

Waseem Abrahams then chatted with Evan Baars of NMG Research to discuss the most important trends impacting investment management and advice in SA.

About the webinar

Not only does AI have the ability to analyse vast amounts of data at high speed, enabling investment managers to make more informed decisions, but AI-powered algorithms can already identify patterns and trends in financial data that help investment managers to identify opportunities and risks.
